Description
Welcome to the Midgar Records takeover. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Berlin-based label will be taking over the 909 mix series for the duration of September with a mix running each week from a label affiliate with a full lowdown on the label to accompany the final edition.
For the third mix in this takeover, we welcome Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Tammo Hesselink who dives into dark, deep and murky waters for this moody session that is filled with crunchy and industrial soundscapes. We're completely obsessed with his productions over here at 909 with an incredible run of releases on labels such as Delsin, Midgar, Blank Mind and Nous'klaer Audio. A resident at much-loved Amsterdam spot, Garage Noord, Tammo Hesselink's productions tend to lean towards the bassier, more percussive side of techno. Always tapping into different sounds and styles, last year Tammo debuted a new band project with his friends under the name comforter2 and recently revived his Melatonin Man alias for a special live performance at Draaimolen Festival.
