As a bit of a thank you gift I’m releasing the audio from my first ever artist interview, with Sango of Soulection, recorded on July 31st, 2013. It’s crazy to listen to it and see how far my interviews have come since then, especially since making the leap to publishing the audio starting with my starRo interview back in February.
Sango is a big inspiration for me, not just sonically, but also in terms of his mindset, faith and attitude towards the relationships in his life. Having discovered his music about a year earlier, his sound really opened up my mind to Soulection and the genre that would be loosely-defined as “future music”. After a mutual friend found out that I was a fan, I was given the opportunity to profile him just after his new album North. Given that the album was the main focus of the interview, what better soundtrack to use for the background than the album itself!
In the interview we discussed the album, his faith, AGO, collaborations and a lot more. Hopefully you’ll find it as inspirational as I do.
PS: Excuse the audio, back then I didn’t know how to record Skype calls so this is a recording of myself and Sango via my speakers.
