Jasmine Rivera, better known as Imani/Tigresa La Gata was born January 3, 1991 in New Haven Ct. Tigresa started writting poetry at the age of ten. After about a year of writting english poetry, Tigresa decided to switch up her poetry to spanish. At the age of twelve Tigresa turned her poetry into lyrics. Tigresa had her very first performance at her middle school "Roberto Clemente Middle School" at the age of thirteen. After her first performance she got introduced to her first manager. after a year of working with a manager and developing her talent she got signed to another record label in New York City. That is when Tigresa started to get a little taste of fame. At the age of seventeen Tigresa had already came out in many Radio Stations, Puerto Rican Parades, Festivals, Clubs etc. Tigresa even got to meet a few artist from the Reggaeton Industry such as Tito El Bambino, Don Chezina, Tego Calderon, Bimbo and many more. Tigresa opened up shows for well known artist such as Arcangel La Maravilla in 2008. After being signed with the record label in New York City everything was going well for Tigresa. Two years later Tigresa went on her own with her music. Noticing how dirty the music industy is Tigresa with her hard work built her own music studio which she now calls "5 Star Musik". She does everything on her own and also helps other artist in the reggaeton industy that need studio time because Tigresa got to see a little of how hard this industy can be and she wants to be able to help those that really want the help. Tigresa La Gata is a solo reggaeton artist but enjoys working with other artist as well.
