Author's description

One is the progressive death/black metal solo project of Iain Twiddy based currently in Vancouver, BC. One is about Zero and One; Nothing and Everything, the interconnectedness of all things and an exploration of the idea of the “prototypical self” which all selves must necessarily participate. Con-Text is the debut album of One. Recorded in late 2013, Con-Text is centred around the theme of conflicting points of view. The album aim is to explore cognitive dissonance, simultaneously attempting to depress and empower the listener, all in the context of a contemplative philosophical ideal.
